For All of your Restoration Questions
FAQHow do I make sure I am hiring a reputable painter?
For ultimate peace of mind with your Toowoomba painting project, we recommend hiring a painting company that has been recognised by the Australian painting industry and customers for superior workmanship.
At a minimum, your painter should hold:
- A Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) license: 152 100 33
- Membership with Master Painters Australia
- Membership with Master Builders Queensland
Prestige Paint & Restoration is licensed with the QBCC (our license number is TBC) and hold memberships with both the Master Painters Australia and Master Builders Queensland.
What kind of painting work do you specialise in?
We specialise in residential interior and exterior painting, renovation and extension painting, exterior timber maintenance, and general interior and exterior maintenance.
We also offer expert fence and roof painting, driveway painting, spray painting and pressure washing services.
Do you offer a warranty with your work?
We believe in providing our clients with an exceptional experience that transforms their home and exceeds their expectations.
We are required under Schedule 1B of the QBCC Act that all of our work will be carried out in an appropriate and skillful way and with reasonable care and skill and reasonable diligence.
We take great pride in the quality of our works and should you require a touch up within one month of the completion of your job, we will be happy to come to do this.
We are also required by law to organise the QBCC Home Warranty Insurance for you if the value of the painting works is over $3,300.
By using a licensed contractor and establishing that the Home Warranty Insurance premium has been paid, means that you may be covered if the project does not go to plan.
What should I look for in a Toowoomba Painter?
When searching for Toowoomba painters and decorators, be sure to seek out a painter that is well-known, well-respected and has a reputation for quality customer service. It is good to read reviews online to verify that their customers are highly satisfied with their punctuality, professionalism and the quality of their work.
Your painter should always offer to visit your site before quoting a painting job, to properly assess the amount of paint and the types of paint that will be required. This is a crucial step because it allows your painter to deliver the best quality service at the most cost-effective price.
How soon can you start?
We pride ourselves on offering prompt service and advice. Where possible we work in and around our clients’ preferred dates. We can commence with your painting once we have evaluated the size of the project and how much preparation is required.
What materials and paint do you use?
We only use quality and premium paints. We prefer to use Haymes Paints. Haymes Paint is an Australian owned and operated business. You can take a look at their website here
How is my furniture and floors protected during painting?
After moving the furniture into the middle of the room it will be covered in plastic. All floors will be protected by canvas drop cloths.
Can you help me choose colours?
Yes, at Prestige Paint & Restoration we are happy to provide you with a free colour consult to assist you with choosing the right colour and style for your renovation.
